December 6, Fineko/abc.az. As of August 2023, Azerbaijani banks have up to 44 correspondent accounts in six Turkic-speaking countries.

ABC.AZ reports that Association of Banks of Azerbaijan’s president Zakir Nuriyev stated about this at the Fintex Summit Istanbul 2023 in Türkiye.

"Currently, strong trade ties between the Turkic-speaking countries lead to close financial relations. One of the manifestations of this is displayed in correspondent relations," he noted.
