November 23, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Türkiye has raised the discount rate from 35% to 40%, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the regulator.
"The Monetary Policy Committee has decided to increase the discount rate (weekly repo auction rate) from 35% to 40%. Overall inflation, which declined slightly in October, remains in line with the forecast presented in the latest report. The current level of domestic demand, prices for services and geopolitical risks are exerting inflationary pressure," the Central Bank said in a statement.
This is the sixth increase in the discount rate in Türkiye in 2023.
