November 23, Fineko/abc.az. According to CBA statement, the number of payment cards in circulation through the systems of banks and Azerpocht LLC increased by 271,000 cards in October.

ABC.AZ reports that growth in the number of payment cards in Azerbaijan has had positive impact on volume of non-cash payments.

Thus, during the month, volume of non-cash transactions within the country increased 2.2-fold against October 2022. In October 2023, volume of non-cash payments within the country made using cards amounted to 5.017 million manats. E-commerce accounts for 4.107 million manats of non-cash payments.

Of the remaining amount, card transactions for 902 million manats were carried out through POS-terminals and for 8 million manats through self-service terminals. Since the beginning of the year, the volume of non-cash domestic transactions with payment cards made up 54.7% of domestic card transactions.
