November 23, Fineko/abc.az. As of October 31, 2023, 23 banks in Azerbaijan have a network of 471 branches and 86 sub-branches.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that this is 3.3% and 5.5% less, respectively, compared with Jan-Oct 2022.

In October 2023, the number of employees in the banking sector decreased by 238 people to 23,292 people.

The decline on these indicators is conditioned by cancellation of the license for Muganbank’s activity in October.
