November 21, Fineko/abc.az. The establishment of upper limits on a number of interchange tariffs by the Central Bank is aimed at reducing the costs of entrepreneurs, ABC.AZ reports, quoting MP Vugar Bayramov.

He added that at the same time, one of the main goals here is to reduce the costs of services offered by banks, and, accordingly, to expand accessibility.

"Therefore, I believe that the reduction of tariffs in this direction will lead to decrease in the costs of these entrepreneurs, facilities for the sale of food and medicines. The expectation is that cost reduction may lead to these products being offered at lower price," he emphasized.

The CBA has set the upper-middle threshold of interchange tariffs. This threshold has been reduced by an average of 36%. In particular, for grocery stores, pharmacies with these extremely vulnerable types of services, acceptable payments decreased by 33%, at gas stations — by 55%, and for other programs — by 22%.
