Mir system starts working throughout Venezuela.

November 17, Fineko/abc.az. The Mir payment system has been launched throughout Venezuela, and almost 40% of points of sale in the country accept Mir cards, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Venezuelan FM Ivan Gil Pinto.

"Commercial ports, therefore, have the opportunity to accept such payment. As for Margarita Island, you can pay with the Mir card in 100% of the points of sale there," the minister said.

He clarified that authorities continue cooperation between the central banks of Venezuela and Russia within the framework of the financial architecture.

"We will move forward in what is called "de-dollarization", and we hope to switch to payment in national currencies," Pinto emphasized.
