Azerbaijani government aims to increase capacity of renewable energy sources to 30%

November 16, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, the capacity of using renewable energy resources in Azerbaijan made up 17%. By 2030, the Azerbaijani government aims to increase the capacity of renewable energy sources to 30%.

ABC.AZ reports that Sechili Yildiz, vice president of the Turkish Investment & Development Bank, said this during his speech at the 2nd Baku Forum on Sustainable Development.

He added that the economically feasible and technically affordable potential of country's renewable energy sources is 27,000 MW, including 3,000 MW account for wind power, 23,000 MW for solar energy, 380 MW for bioenergy, and 520 MW for hydrogen energy.
