November 13, Fineko/abc.az. I want to mention one point that worries the Central Bank. The share of deposits up to a year in the total volume of deposits is 81%. This means that the long-term interests of our banks are not enough to give active business loans.

ABC.AZ reports that CBA chairman Taleh Kazimov said this at today's Milli Majlis meeting, when discussing the Draft Law on State Budget 2024.

He added that the second point of concern: "The number of depositors with deposits of up to 30,000 manats is 73% of the total number of depositors. This means that the population places more deposits up to 30,000 manats. We have been seeing a decline in this area since February."

Kazimov said that the appearance of the interbank market for the first time is a great achievement: "The CBA's financial stability policy is aimed at uninterrupted payments. Our loan portfolio has grown by 14% in 9 months. Confidence in the banking sector and the manat has increased."
