November 2, Fineko/abc.az. Closed borders have brought great benefits to the State Budget and the tourism sector.

ABC.AZ reports that Central Bank’s chairman Taleh Kazimov informed about this during the discussion of Draft State Budget 2024 by the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.

Kazimov noted that there are no exact statistics on this issue.

"But we decided to conduct an analysis," he added.

State Customs Committee’s chair Shahin Bagirov said that in general, the benefits of closing borders for the budget are less than predicted.
