ABC.AZ reports that Finance Minister Samir Sharifov informed about this during the discussion of Draft State Budget 2024 by the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.

"Currently, our external debt is $6.5 billion. In the next two years, Azerbaijan's external debt may be reduced to $5 billion," Sharifov said.

He added that the government can increase borrowing in the domestic market.
