Fast money transfers by banks sharply decreased in Azerbaijan

November 1, Fineko/abc.az. Fast money transfers in banks has sharply declined, while card-to-card transactions has sharply increased.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank that fast money transfers to banks in the first three quarters of 2023 amounted to 1.896 billion (57% less versus Jan-Sept 2022. AZN 4.419 billion were received from quick money transfers to banks.

This also applies to fast money transfers that have gone beyond the bank. So, if in the first 3 quarters of 2022 the volume of fast money transfers outside banks amounted to 767.3 million manats, then in the same period of this year this figure fell to 466.6 million manats.

The volume of payment transactions processed through the interbank Card Center increased by 90% compared with 2022 and reached 13.116 billion in the first 3 quarters. Speech here is about the national currency. Card-to-card operations in US dollars rose by 42% up to $37.27.
