October 17, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 45,645.57 tons of rice for $41.7 million for Jan-Sept 2023, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Customs Committee.

The import indicators grew by $4.68 million (12.9%) in value terms and by 2,603.78 tons (6%) in quantitative terms.

Over Jan-Sept 2022, our country imported 43,042.79 tons of rice for $36.388 million from abroad.
Thus, the import price per ton of rice was $900 this year and $845 for the 2022 same term. This indicator has grown by $55 this year (by 6.4%).
In the first 9 months of this year, rice imports made up 0.33% of Azerbaijan's total imports (0.35% for Jan-Sept 2022).
