October 17, Fineko/abc.az. According to Articles 20.3 and 24.5 of the Law on Food Security, for the import of animal products classified as a high-risk group into the customs territory of Azerbaijan, food facilities engaged in the production and processing of these products must be approved by the agency on the basis of the application of responsible food subjects.

ABC.AZ reports that in order to ensure implementation of the relevant law, meetings were held with representatives of companies engaged in importing such food products to our country from a number of states, including the French Republic, they were provided with detailed information on measures taken in the field of importing high-risk food and feed. 

However, despite the import of products from France in our country from dozens of enterprises, as well as repeated warnings, the agency has not received requests for approval from manufacturers of this country. In this regard, from November 1, 2023, restrictions will be imposed on the import into our country of high-risk food products from French enterprises that have not applied for approval.
