October 16, Fineko/abc.az. The Mir payment system has started operating in Venezuela, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. 

He added that there are more than 80,000 terminals accepting Mir cards in the country.

In July, Russian Ambassador to Venezuela Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov announced the start of testing the payment system in the country. At that time, card payments were accepted on Margarita Island, their work was tested only in Caracas.
