ABC.AZ reports that consumer prices fell 5.2 percent year-on-year in August.

In July, consumer prices rose 5.3 percent year-on-year. According to market expectations, annual consumer prices should not have changed.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.5 percent. In July, consumer prices fell by 0.1 percent.

According to market expectations, consumer prices were expected to rise by 0.6 percent in August.
