August 25, Fineko/abc.az. According to sources familiar with the situation, some foreign companies seeking to leave Russia are facing the problem of a sharp increase in costs.
ABC.AZ reports that Moscow requires significant discounts on the prices of assets that these companies plan to sell.
Since the start of its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Russia has consistently tightened its rules for exiting the country as Western companies began to leave. Company executives note that it is becoming increasingly difficult to understand these rules.
According to Reuters, foreign companies have already suffered losses in excess of $80 billion as a result of asset write-offs and loss of income from their activities in Russia.
