August 22, Fineko/abc.az. As of August 1, 2023, the number of bank customers in Azerbaijan increased by 7%, or by 921,900 people, to 14,063,765 people.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the Central Bank, as of August 1 this year, the number of bank client accounts increased by 20.8% or by 6,173,700 units compared to the same period last year and amounted to 35,898,100.

Over this period, 79.6% of client accounts were current accounts (28,567,600), 19.6% were credit accounts (7,022,400), and 0.8% -308,000 - were deposit accounts.
