Grain prices surged after Ukraine shot down a Russian oil tanker with a drone.
ABC.AZ reports that the main export route of Russian goods in the Black Sea was endangered after Ukraine hit a Russian oil tanker and a Russian Navy ship with an unmanned ship, which pushed the grain prices up.
Russia, a major grain exporter, is currently in the midst of the harvest season and it carries out a significant portion of its grain exports via the Black Sea. This makes the impact of tensions in the Black Sea on the grain market and the control of world food prices even more critical.
