According to the MP, increase in drug prices is explained by the lack of their registration.

"For example, in Türkiye, which is 75% dependent on pharmaceutical imports, there has been a significant increase in drug prices over the past 6 months. According to statistical data, of the $7 bn spent by the state on medicines in the fraternal country for 2022, $5.2 billion accounted for imports. This means that at least 75% to 80% of the medicines used to treat people are imported from foreign countries. Türkiye ranks 21st in the world in the production of medicines," he said.
