July 7, Fineko/abc.az. Japan Tobacco International (JTI) and Tabaterra CJSC, the largest cigarette manufacturer in Azerbaijan, agreed to start production of global brands of JTI cigarettes at the Tabaterra factory for export to Georgia.

The world-famous JTI brands sold in Georgia, such as Sobranie, Winston and Camel, will now be produced at the Tabaterra factory.

"We are pleased to cooperate with JTI in the production and export of their global brands to the Georgian market. This collaboration shows Tabaterra's commitment to producing output of exceptional quality and our ability to meet international standards. This fact further strengthens our position as a leading international player and expands our export opportunities. The mentioned agreement will make a significant contribution to the economy of Azerbaijan, as well as to local production in our country. Thus, this agreement will provide Azerbaijan with foreign exchange flow of about $13 million annually," Tabaterra CJSC director Elman Javanshir said.
