June 23, Fineko/abc.az. Insurance agents send SMS messages to citizens that if they do not insure their property, they will be fined. However, they do not have such powers.

ABC.AZ reports that CBA chairman Taleh Kazimov stated this during the discussion of the proposed amendments to the Law on the Central Bank of Azerbaijan at today's Milli Majlis meeting.

He noted that insurance companies and agents have already been warned in this regard.

"We know that consumers are concerned about this issue, and we have already warned both insurance companies and their agents that sending SMS, calls to consumers is not in their competence," Kazimov added.
