May 17, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has received Mikhail Myasnikovich, the chairman of board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, in Baku on Wednesday.

ABC.AZ reports that Myasnikovich conveyed congratulations to President Aliyev on the occasion of the 100th birthday anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, noting the exceptional role of the great leader as a great historical figure in the development of Azerbaijan.

"During the meeting, the sides discussed Azerbaijan's trade turnover with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the possibilities of expanding trade relations," the Presidential Administration’s website says.

Myasnikovich also presented proposals to the Azerbaijani leader on directions of cooperation.

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is a permanent regulatory body of the Eurasian Economic Union. The main purpose of the EEC is to ensure the conditions for the functioning and development of the EAEU, to develop proposals for the further development of integration.
