May 10, Fineko/abc.az. Internal and external enemies also understood that Azerbaijan had already embarked on the path of development. They did not think to give up their dirty deeds.

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev stated about this in an address to the Azerbaijani people on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Stressing that two weeks after the signing of the Contract of the Century an attempt of a coup was made in Azerbaijan, the head of state said: "Once again, the factor of Heydar Aliyev, the people's faith in him prevented this attempt. More than 100,000 people gathered in Azadlig Square, demonstrated support for their Leader, and the elements involved in the military coup fled in different directions."
