April 28, Fineko/abc.az. The absence of difficulties with payment and simple logistics allowed Georgia to become the second supplier of wines to Russia.

ABC.AZ that in the 1st quarter the import of wines from Georgia increased by 49%, to 13.1 million liters, which allowed Georgia to push Spain and get closer to import leader Italy.

Importers expect this trend to continue in the long-term prospect.

Following Q1 of 2023, Georgia became the second supplier of wines to Russia, ahead of Spain in this list.
