April 19, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2023, transactions worth AZN 3.448 bn were carried out on the securities market of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that the indicator is 34.7% less against Q1 of 2022.

Of them, AZN 1 bn was formed in the primary market (2.9-fold less), AZN 2.447 bn in the secondary market (0.9% more).

2,850 transactions were concluded on the securities market (4.1% less than a year ago). 421 transactions accounted for the primary market (18.6% less), and 2,429 ones on the secondary market (1% less).

Over Jan-Mar 2023, government securities accounted for AZN 1.044 bn or 30.3% of operations on the securities market of Azerbaijan, corporate securities – AZN 438.6 million or 12.7%, repo operations – AZN 1.96 bn or 60%. This is 2.6-fold less, 7.8% more and 8.2% less than a year ago.
