April 19, Fineko/abc.az. At the end of the month of Ramadan, prices for 30 out of 39 products increased and decreased for 9 products.
ABC.AZ reports that Şemsi Bayraktar, the president of the Turkish Chamber of Agriculture Association (TROB), stated about this.
He noted that in the last days of Ramadan, the highest price increase in the market was observed for dried onions - 45.2%.
According to Bayraktar, due to the increase in meat prices, breeding animals were threatened with extinction.
"After onions, the largest price increase is observed for green peppers - by 28.4%, lamb - by 27.2%, dried beans - by 26.4%, beef - by 24.7% and carrots - by 22.4%. The biggest drop in the market price was for pumpkin – by 24%. Further, a decrease in prices was observed for white cabbage - 17.6%, for green onions - 12.2%, tomatoes - 7.7%, 4.2% - for chicken and 3.3% - for bacon," Bayraktar said.
