April 19, Fineko/abc.az. Renault will reduce the prices of its electric cars around the world in order to remain competitive.

ABC.AZ reports that the decision was made after American automaker Tesla lowered prices, and for the second time this year.

"We’ll analyze country by country, market by market, what level of competitiveness we need to stay in the game," said Fabrice Kamboliv, Renault brand’s executive director.

According to Renault’s representative, for competitors, the decline in prices for Tesla products was a wake-up call. Sales volumes of the electric version of Renault Megane rose sharply in March, although the company did not provide significant discounts on this model. In France, Tesla Model 3, after recent price cuts, costs from €41,990, and competing Megane is only €10 more expensive.
