April 18, Fineko/abc.az. In Baku, there was a problem with demolition in the territory called "Kubinka" of Nasimi district.

ABC.AZ reports that it is linked with the fact that local residents demand more compensation in exchange for demolished houses.

Thus, the company carrying out the demolition agreed with the residents on compensation in the amount of 3,000 manats. Many residents also accepted the offer and signed a consent petition. However, some residents demanded to increase the amount of compensation to 3,500 manats. After that, the company suspended both the demolition work and the payment of compensation.

According to Cabinet Ministers’ decision, partial demolition work is currently underway at Kubinka as part of a pilot project, four large projects have already been implemented and are being completed. On the other hand, the payment of compensation for demolition of houses is agreed between the companies carrying out construction work in the area and the residents. Persons wishing to receive compensation are compensated on the spot, and residents wishing to receive housing are offered housing with an additional area of 20 m2.
