April 17, Fineko/abc.az. In 2022, the number of Russian cars sold in Azerbaijan has sharply decreased.

ABC.AZ reports that 698 new Lada models were sold in Azerbaijan in 2022 (59.4% or 1,021 cars less than in 2021).

In 2021, AvtoVAZ was able to sell 1,719 new cars in Azerbaijan.

Russian brand Lada occupied the 3rd place on sales in Azerbaijan, and then last year it dropped to the 8th place.

The export of Russian-made cars to Azerbaijan was suspended last summer as a result of the shutdown of AvtoVAZ production, which is experiencing shortage of spare parts because of sanctions.
