ABC.AZ reports that expert Sarkhan Gadirov noted that there is increase in the number of vehicles with diesel engine and older than a year in the country.

He believes that the reason for the price increase is mainly the restriction of importation into the country of automobiles, the year of manufacture of which exceeds 10 years.

The price policy of large automakers, as well as the rise in prices of spare parts and vehicles, had significant impact on increase in car prices.

The expert notes that Russian-made cars are more in demand in the districts. The main reason for this is that there is little or no official service of foreign-made cars in the districts of the country.

For this reason, there is also increase in prices for Russian-made cars in the districts, which are easily repaired and inexpensive. Russian cars produced in 2004-2005 are currently offered on the market for 6,000 manats. However, last year their price was about 4,000 manats. The cost of cars imported into the country has also increased compared with last year.
