April 3, Fineko/abc.az. At the meeting held at the Ministry of Economy the issues of diversification of Azerbaijan-Russia economic partnership the parties discussed development of interregional ties and brought to the attention favorable business and investment opportunities of our country.

ABC.AZ reports that the Ministry of Economy held a meeting with a delegation led by Russian president’s adviser Ruslan Edelgeriev.

Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov stressed the positive dynamics of the development of relations with the Russian Federation, noted the importance of intensifying partnership between business circles in realizing economic potential, strengthening trade and investment ties. It was noted that the favorable business and investment climate of Azerbaijan, the wide potential of our lands liberated from occupation open up new prospects for the development of regional cooperation, including partnership with the Russian Federation. Russian investors can also take advantage of the transport and logistics opportunities of the Alat Free Economic Zone, located at the intersection of international corridors.

Expressing satisfaction with the visit to our country, Ruslan Edelgeriev stressed the special importance of the Russian Federation in partnership with Azerbaijan, the role of increasing the activity of the private sector in mutually beneficial development, shared his opinion on the realization of economic potential. The meeting, which was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and the Embassy in Azerbaijan, the trade mission, the regional council of the All-Russian State Children's and Youth Social Movement “Movement of the First” of the Chechen Republic, considered the possibilities of implementing various socio-economic projects.
