March 16, Fineko/abc.az. The death toll from the earthquake in Turkiye has exceeded 49,000 people, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his speech at the extraordinary summit of the Organization of Turkic States.

"I hope that with the support of friendly and fraternal countries, we will overcome the consequences of the earthquake as soon as possible. The Turkic world was one of the first countries to respond to Turkey's call. Our nation will not forget this support of yours," Erdogan emphasized.
