March 16, Fineko/abc.az. The Turkic states play a key role in Europe's energy security through the Southern Gas Corridor, including TANAP.
ABC.AZ reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated about this during his speech at the OTS extraordinary summit.
He noted that Azerbaijani, Kazakh and Turkmen oil has been supplied to world markets through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline for 16 years.
"The BTC pipeline has been continuously supplying oil from Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan to world markets for 16 years. Thanks to the Southern Gas Corridor, the basis of which is TANAP, the Turkish states play an important role in ensuring the energy security of Europe," the Turkish leader stressed.
