March 13, Fineko/abc.az. The Small & Medium Business Development Agency and BP have today signed the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation.

ABC.AZ reports that the document was signed by Orkhan Mamamdov, the Chairman of the SMBDA Management Board, and Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, the Vice President for the Caspian region, Communications, and External Affairs at bp.

The MoU will envisage cooperation on projects covering support to the business.

The event also provided information about two new projects that will be implemented jointly with the support of KOBIA and BP. One of the projects is aimed at supporting the development of young entrepreneurs in rural areas and will be implemented in Samukh, Geranboy and Shamkir districts.

Within the project, trainings will be held for the selected young people from low-income families interested in entrepreneurship. Another project is aimed at supporting the development of agrotourism in Tovuz district. The project envisages the creation of income and employment opportunities for low-income families of the district.
