February 28, Fineko/abc.az. In 2022, subsidized loans for AZN 3.9 million were given to 218 women entrepreneurs and for AZN 14 million to 91 young entrepreneurs. Creation of 334 and 318 new jobs, respectively, is planned due to the funded projects.

ABC.AZ reports that Entrepreneurship Development Fund’s chairman Osman Khaliyev stated about this at a seminar on the principles of environmental, social and corporate governance within project "Financing for Development", carried out with the joint support of UNDP representative office in Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Economy.

Khaliyev said that a pilot model of ESG assessment (environmental, social and corporate governance) has been developed in Azerbaijan in accordance with international standards.

He noted that six projects were selected and evaluated at the initial stage:

 “The activities carried out in the social sphere include regular work on labor protection and safety, voluntary medical insurance of employees, their involvement in various training and advanced training programs, and the development of human capital."
