Road tax to be levied on vehicles passing through Azerbaijan in transit

February 24, Fineko/abc.az. Owners of motor vehicles registered in foreign countries or persons driving these vehicles passing through the territory of Azerbaijan will be payers of road tax, and vehicles belonging to these persons will be considered the object of road tax.

ABC.AZ reports that this was reflected in the amendment to the Tax Code, discussed at today’s Milli Majlis meeting.
