February 23, Fineko/abc.az. Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air was recognized as the worst airline in Europe.
ABC.AZ reports that this became known from the results of a survey by British consumer protection organization Which.
Travelers gave the airline only one star out of five for boarding procedures, as well as for the cabin environment and seat comfort - it is noted that Wizz Air has the least legroom among the carriers surveyed. In addition, the low-cost airline did not receive more than two stars in any of the remaining categories, including value for money, customer service, cleanliness of the cabin and the level of on-board catering. In total, the carrier scored only 48 points out of 100 possible.
Irish airline Ryanair also received low ratings (52 points): passengers called the quality of food and drinks disgusting, and were also dissatisfied with the comfort of the seats and the situation on board. Nevertheless, they praised the competitive airfare. Eurowings (53), British Airways and Lufthansa (57 each) managed to climb a little higher.
Jet2 turned out to be the best airline in the rating, which scored 80 points. Turkish Airlines is in second place with a small break-off (78), Swiss and Finnair share the third place (75 each).
