February 22, Fineko/abc.az. The housing prices increased by 8% in Azerbaijan last year, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the data on real estate prices in the "CBA Monetary Policy Review January-December 2022".

The survey says that the housing market price index in the 4th quarter of 2022 increased by 8% compared with Q4 of the previous year.

The price index grew by 7.2% in the primary housing market and by 8% in the secondary housing market. But this growth lags behind official inflation (14%).

According to the State Statistics Committee, the total area of residential buildings commissioned in Azerbaijan in 2022 amounted to 2.59 million sq m (24.8% more than in 2021).

Capital investments in the construction of residential buildings last year amounted to AZN 925.4 million (5.8% less than in 2021).
