January 16, Fineko/abc.az. Carl Horst Hahn, former CEO of German automobile concern Volkswagen AG, has died at the age of 96.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the representative of charitable foundation Carl Hahn.

Hahn died in his sleep on 14 January at his home in Wolfsburg, Germany. The farewell ceremony is scheduled for 24 January.

The agency noted that thanks to the marketing skills of the former head of Volkswagen, the Käfer (‘Beetle’) car became the best-selling model in history: from 1945 to 2003, more than 21.5 million copies were produced.
