January 5, Fineko/abc.az. Amazon will cut more than 18,000 employees instead of the previously announced 10,000 ones.

ABC.AZ reports that online retailer’s CEO Andy Jesse informed about this in a publication posted on the company's website.

 “Based on the results of the analysis, Amazon management made a difficult decision to eliminate several positions additionally. In total, more than 18,000 employees will be laid off, mainly from sales and recruitment departments,” Jesse said.

In November 2022, it was reported that Amazon management plans to lay off 10,000 people.
