December 20, Fineko/abc.az. An event on the theme "Customs reforms: challenges &nd opportunities" has been organized in Baku.

ABC.AZ reports that at the event Orkhan Mammadov, chairman of board of the Agency for the Development of Small & Medium-sized Businesses (KOBIA) under the Ministry of Economy, raised some matters, noting that entrepreneurs wishing to engage in import & export activities are in many cases unaware of the procedures.

"Although many parts of both food safety and customs procedures are electronically controlled, some difficulties with implementation of the process and access to information from relevant departments create obstacles for small and medium-sized businesses. I propose to ensure the placement of information on all stages of import-export procedures on open electronic resources, as well as simplify the procedures for processing documents," Mammadov said.
