Saudi Arabia intends to build world’s tallest building

December 12, Fineko/abc.az. The Sovereign Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) intends to construct a new skyscraper in the Kingdom, the height of which is more than twice as high as the tallest building in the world – the 828-meter Burj Khalifa tower in Dubai. 

ABC.AZ reports that the Fund plans to build a 2 km high building on an area of 18 km2 north of Riyadh. Contractors estimate the cost of the project at about $5 bn. At the current stage, a tender is being held with participation fee of $1 million.
