October 26, Fineko/abc.az. Startup WeTravel, co-founded by Azerbaijani programmer Garib Mehdiyev, received investments in the amount of $27 million, National Internet Forum’s head Osman Gunduz informed on his Facebook page.

He said that in 2014, our compatriot, together with his colleagues Johannes Kappel and Zaki Prabowo, created a startup and raised investments for $7 million.

The new investment brings its total capital raised to $34 million.

The startup team, which has been working in the USA for a long time, has moved to Amsterdam in recent years, where there is more favorable environment for doing business.

Currently, WeTravel working group operates in the USA, the Netherlands and Azerbaijan.
