October 18, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan registered 1,388,382 taxpayers as of 1 October 2022 (6.6% more than in October 2021).

The State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy informs that 87.5% of them were individuals, and 12.5% were legal entities and other organizations.

Over the past part of the year the number of individuals has grown by 6.3% (83.2% of the total growth) and legal entities by 9.2% (16.8% of the total growth).

Over Jan-Sept 2022, 11,515 commercial organizations passed state registration in Azerbaijan (33.5% more versus Jan-Sept 2021).

71.3% of commercial organizations were registered in e-form and 28.7% on paper.

As a whole, since the beginning of the year 83.4% of applications for e- registration have been submitted through Asan imza.

76.1% of commercial organizations registered for the reporting period have local capital and 23.9% - foreign capital.
