October 17, Fineko/abc.az. Credit research agency Tokyo Shoko Research (TSR) has studied the number of Japanese companies that went bankrupt over a 6-month period and their causes.
ABC.AZ reports that in the period from April to September of fiscal year 2022, the number of companies declaring bankruptcy in Japan increased by 6.9% against the same term of 2021.
The number of companies across the country that declared bankruptcy amounted to 3,141 companies.
The total debt of companies that went bankrupt in 6 months reached 1.74 trillion yens ($11.7 billion).
As a result of high fuel prices, the number of insolvency cases in the transport sector grew by 42% up to 162.
