October 7, Fineko/abc.az. Inflation in Argentina may reach 100.3% by the end of the year.
ABC.AZ reports that this forecast was voiced by experts interviewed by the Central Bank of the republic.
"At the end of September, market analysts predicted that retail inflation this year would reach 100.3% (5.3 percentage points more than they called during the last survey)," the Central Bank said in a report published on 6 October.
According to experts, in 2023 the price increase may exceed 90% and in 2024 - 60%. At that, analysts predict that country's GDP growth this year will be 4.1%.
As of August, annual inflation in Argentina was 78.5%. At the conclusion of the agreement on the settlement of debts to the International Monetary Fund, which was signed in March, the Government of the South American republic predicted a price increase this year in the range of 38% to 48%.
Argentina has been among the countries with the highest inflation for several years. In 2021, it was 50.9%, in 2020 - 36.1%, in 2019 - 53.8%, in 2018 - 47.6%.
