Fee for passage through Bosphorus Strait to be increased - this will also affect Azerbaijani vessels

September 20, Fineko/abc.az. The Turkish government is going to double the fee for passage through the Bosphorus Strait from 1 October.

ABC.AZ reports that this decision also relates to Azerbaijani vessels.

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company’s spokesman Mehman Mehdiyev confirmed the fact: "Yes, we’ve received an official notification about the price increase. If until now we’ve been paying a fare of $2,500 for a 5,000-ton dry cargo vessel, then from next month this figure will be $5,000."
