The State Statistics Committee informs that GDP grew by 0.6% compared to the same period of 2016. "For the reported term production in the nonoil sector grew by 2.5% and in the oil sector reduced by 6.5%. The share of the nonoil sector in country’s GDP made up 62.6%, 40.2% of value added accounted for the industrial sector, 10.4% in trade and repairs of transport, 8.7% in construction, 6.9% in transportation and warehousing, 5.9% in agriculture, 2.5% in tourist accommodation and catering, 1.7% in communication & information, 16.3% on other industries," the Committee said. The SSC reports that the amount of taxes on products and imports amounted to AZN 5,149.4 manats that makes up 7.4% of country’s GDP. GDP per capita made up AZN 5,149.4.
