July 15, Fineko/abc.az. Russia has replaced the Big Mac index with the shawarma index. All over the world, the Big Mac index is most often used to measure the standard of living of people. It allows you to compare the purchasing power of residents of different countries.

ABC.AZ reports that the shawarma index is in many ways similar to the Big Mac index. The latter was created in 1986 by The Economist magazine. Its main task is to show which currency is valued higher and which is lower. When calculating, the price of a McDonalds burger was taken. The McDonalds chain left Russia after the start of a special operation in Ukraine.
In May, the American corporation sold its business in Russia to Alexander Govor.
