September 2, Fineko/abc.az. In August 2026, the number of recipients of labor pensions granted under special conditions in Azerbaijan amounted to 152,023.

The State Social Protection Fund reported that 116,068 of them received old-age pensions, 12,894 received disability pensions, and 23,061 received survivor's pensions.

In August 2025, the number of recipients of labor pensions granted under special conditions stood at 148,990. Of these, 112,798 received old-age pensions, 14,217 received disability pensions, and 21,975 received survivor's pensions.

Thus, the number of recipients of labor pensions granted under special conditions increased by 3,033, or 2%, year-on-year.

The increase was mainly driven by growth in the number of old-age and survivor's pension recipients. The number of old-age pension recipients increased by 3,270, or 2.9%, year-on-year, while the number of survivor's pension recipients rose by 1,086, or 4.9%.

The number of disability pension recipients, by contrast, decreased by 1,323, or 9.3%, to 12,894.

Unlike pensions granted under the general pension rules, labor pensions granted under special conditions include pensions assigned based on special conditions established by law. This category mainly includes civil servants, military personnel, persons holding special ranks, and individuals employed in other professions and positions specified by legislation.
